In 2016, a cinematographer and I traveled to the most southern tip of Brazil to shoot the very first Distant Thunder video. It was my idea for showing just how far the Tampa Bay Lightning's fanbase—known as the Thunder—extended beyond the city.
Millions of views, ten additional stories and two Emmy Awards later, and it's still going strong.
